DPS Roorkee Commemorates 78th Independence Day with Patriotic Fervour and Unity

Roorkee. Delhi Public School ROORKEE witnessed a spirited celebration of India’s 78th Independence Day as the school community came together with unwavering zeal. The event, held as a part of “Viksit Bharat@2047” celebrations, was centered around the theme “Viksit Bharat,” echoing the sentiment of national pride and progress,to transform the nation into a developed nation by 2047.

The ceremonial hoisting of the Tricolour was done by School Directors MLA Pradeep Batra, Mr.Ram Agarwal,siddharth batra and dhruv agarwal. Mrs. Manisha Batra,Mrs.Reshu Agarwal,Kartik agarwal and Arjun Batra were also present during flag hoisting..The flag was raised alongside Mrs. Priya Kaushik, the Principal of DPS Roorkee, creating an emblematic display of unity and patriotism.

Attendees included not only students but also the dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff. The atmosphere was electrified by a captivating cultural program that oozed patriotic fervour, showcasing the remarkable talents of students from Grades IV-XII. The school campus was adorned with the vibrant hues of the Tricolour, harmonizing perfectly with the various activities that were meticulously designed around the theme.

MLA Pradeep Batra, in his impassioned speech, underscored the significance of building a robust India. He urged students to cultivate an earnest enthusiasm for learning and to internalize the values instilled within them by the school. Mr.Ram Agarwal  extended their warm wishes and greetings for the occasion.

Addressing the assembly, Mrs.Priya kaushik, the Principal of DPS Roorkee, beautifully illuminated the rich tapestry of India’s cultural heritage. She implored every student to approach their duties with integrity and dedication, thereby upholding the honor of the national flag.

The celebrations were further enriched by captivating performances. A splendid dance rendition of the patriotic anthem.Students paid tributes to the freedom fighters and celebrated the day by singing and dancing on songs of patriotism composed before and after Independence. Young orators  shared insights into India’s remarkable journey from colonial subjugation to becoming the world’s fifth-largest economy.

The 78th  Independence Day celebration at DPS Roorkee served as a poignant reminder of India’s rich heritage, its ongoing journey towards progress, and the collective responsibility of the younger generation to uphold the ideals that the nation stands for.
